On October 5, Alice read her poem “Left, from Right” at the Facere Jewelry Art Gallery reading. Karen Lorene, owner, has established a unique tradition of inviting writers to write about selected pieces of art jewelry. Alice wrote her poem in response to California artist Jack da Silva’s “Remember Braillecelet.” When he received her poem, he made a bracelet specifically in response to it, “Left, Right.” Ekphrasis at its best.
